Imagine a world where learning knows no boundaries. Evam, an innovative educational metaverse spearheaded by the Embedded Interaction Lab (EI Lab) at IIT Guwahati's Department of Design, is making this vision a reality and is reshaping the educational landscape with its ground breaking educational metaverse.

Supported by the Guwahati Planetarium Management Society (GPMS), a society under Government of Assam with a substantial and generous grant of INR 1 crore, Evam leverages virtual reality and cutting-edge technologies to deliver an immersive, transformative learning experience for students aged 13 to 18.

Launched in December 2022, Evam transcends traditional teaching paradigms, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and global collaboration. By blending innovation with education, it creates an engaging platform that prepares students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

The project is led by Dr. Keyur Sorathia, a distinguished expert in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Virtual Reality (VR), alongside Dr. Debayan Dhar, a specialist in user-centered design. Together, they are crafting a visionary environment where education meets exploration and innovation.

Evam aspires to inspire curiosity, nurture potential, and redefine the boundaries of learning. With its commitment to advancing education through technology, it stands poised to empower the next generation with tools to shape a better future.
